  • Dr.
    Sarah Norman
    General Dentist

Dr. Sarah Norman has been practicing dentistry in Magnolia since 2013. She is the practice owner and only dentist at Hometown Family Dentistry, which opened in October 2018.

Dr. Norman grew up in Waller, graduating from Waller High School and then attended Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. After college, she moved to San Antonio to attend Dental School at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Norman then stayed for an additional year to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency.

Dr. Norman is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and the Brazos Valley District Dental Society. She is dedicated to lifelong learning, regularly attending dental meetings and continuing education courses to further advance her knowledge and skills.

Outside the office, Dr. Norman is married to J.P. Norman, a high school teacher. Together they have two active boys who keep them busy with sports and Cub Scouts. At home, they enjoy time with their pets—Maggie, a sweet Cavapoo; Oreo, the family’s hamster; and Tsunamii, their colorful betta fish. Their family is actively involved in their church here in Magnolia.

  • Tessa G
    Dental Hygienist & Myofunctional Therapist

Tessa is one of the dental hygienists at our office and has been a valued member of our team since January 2022.

She grew up in the Beaumont area and graduated from Evadale High School before attending the Lamar Institute of Technology, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. After moving to Magnolia in 2012, Tessa has been serving patients in the area as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) ever since. She loves her career and is dedicated to making every patient’s visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

In addition to her work as a hygienist, Tessa has completed extensive training in Oral Myofunctional Therapy. She leads our Myofunctional Therapy program, established at Hometown Family Dentistry in September 2023, helping patients improve oral function, proper breathing, and overall development. Learn more about Myofunctional Therapy here.

Outside the office, Tessa enjoys reading, traveling, and working out—but she’ll never pass up a chance for good Mexican food. She is very active in her church and loves spending quality time with family and friends.

  • Tina P
    Dental Hygienist

Tina is one of the dental hygienists at our office and she joined our team in July 2022.

Tina grew up in North Houston and moved to The Woodlands in 2006. She graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 2004, earning both her RDH and BSDH degrees. With nearly two decades of experience in dental hygiene, Tina brings a gentle touch and a caring approach to each appointment, making patients feel comfortable while providing excellent care.

When she’s not at the office, Tina stays busy with her two daughters and their bearded dragon, David. She enjoys going on road trips, creating arts and crafts, and discovering new restaurants and recipes to try. Tina also loves sharing special moments with her family and friends, whether at home or out exploring. Her warm personality and dedication to both her patients and loved ones make her a wonderful part of our dental team.

  • Nancy K
    Dental Assistant

Nancy is one of the dental assistants at our office. She primarily assists Dr. Norman with dental procedures but can also be found helping in the front office from time to time. Nancy has been part of Hometown Family Dentistry since the day we opened, and she also worked alongside Dr. Norman at a former dental office. Her cheerful personality and extensive dental knowledge put patients at ease—she truly never meets a stranger, and her friendly nature makes her instantly likable.

Nancy began her dental career in Ohio, where she attended a vocational high school her junior and senior years to train as a dental assistant. She is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and has also been a Nationally Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) for more than 25 years. Over the years, Nancy has taught dental assisting at both the vocational and collegiate levels in Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas, sharing her skills and passion for dentistry with future professionals.

A self-proclaimed “nomad,” Nancy has lived in Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas. She and her husband, Brian, settled in Magnolia in 2015, where they enjoy raising their daughter, now an adult.

Outside of work, Nancy loves spending time with family, scrapbooking, reading, doing puzzles, watching YouTube, and going antiquing. Her warm spirit and wealth of experience make her an invaluable part of our dental team.

  • Sandra V
    Financial Coordinator

Sandra is our Financial Coordinator and the friendly face who helps patients with payment plans and treatment planning. She joined our office in January 2024 and has been a wonderful addition to our team. Originally from Corpus Christi and raised in Huntsville, TX, Sandra graduated early from Huntsville High School in 2010. She married her high school sweetheart in 2011, and together they are raising two boys. Sandra is also a proud military and law enforcement wife.

Before moving into the dental field in 2016, Sandra built her career in retail management, where she developed her strong organizational skills and attention to detail. She now enjoys using those strengths to help patients understand their treatment options and make the financial side of dental care as simple and stress-free as possible.

Family is at the heart of Sandra’s life. As the oldest of four girls, she treasures time spent with her siblings and extended family and enjoys hosting gatherings at home. She and her husband attend church with their boys, who are both active in band and extracurricular activities. Outside of work, Sandra loves traveling, exploring historic sites and museums, spending time in nature, cheering on the Astros, and making memories with her family.

  • Lacie R
    Scheduler

Lacie is the Scheduler at our office and has been a member of our staff since January 2023. She is often the cheerful voice you’ll hear when calling our office and the friendly face who greets you when you arrive for your appointment.

Lacie graduated from Cajon High School in California. She spent most of her childhood in California but grew up in an Air Force family, which gave her the opportunity to live in both Germany and Alaska. In 2019, she and her family relocated to Texas from Southern California.

Outside of work, Lacie stays busy with her husband, Travis, and their three sons. Their home is filled with love (and energy!) thanks to their four dogs and one leopard gecko. She is actively involved in the activities in her boys’ schools and enjoys participating in neighborhood events.

In her free time, you can often find Lacie baking cakes and cupcakes, spending time at the dirt bike track, or rollerskating.

  • Maggie Moo
    Therapy Dog

Meet Maggie, our beloved therapy dog! Maggie is a Cavapoo, a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. This breed is known for being gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully friendly. Cavapoos are also hypoallergenic, making them a great fit for many families as a pet or as a therapy dog. Maggie has a sweet, calming personality and completed extensive training to become a therapy dog. She loves people of all ages and has a special gift for making everyone feel welcome.

Therapy dogs have been shown to provide wonderful benefits in healthcare settings. For children, they can offer comfort and a sense of security during what might otherwise be a stressful visit. For patients who feel anxious about dental care, the presence of a therapy dog can help ease nerves, lower stress levels, and create a more positive overall experience. Maggie is here to provide that extra layer of comfort and care during your appointment.

Maggie comes to the office to “work” almost every day we are open. She is happy to sit in the dental chair with patients who would like to hold her, offering a little warmth and distraction during treatment. If you are allergic to or afraid of dogs, please let us know ahead of time, and we will make sure Maggie is comfortably resting in another operatory during your visit.

We are so excited to share Maggie with our patients and community. Call today to book your appointment and meet our sweet therapy dog—she can’t wait to make you smile!
